Frequent questions

I am having trouble using my Lumma baby carrier

We understand. Ergonomic baby carriers can be a little confusing at first. Especially if it is your first experience in the world of porting. Watch our tutorial videos so that you and your little one can go out and see the world together in a safe, elegant and super comfortable way. You can also consult us via email at info@lummacrianza.com.

Do you still feel doubtful? Feel free to send a photo of yourself using the Lumma baby carrier to info@lummacrianza.com, and we'll be happy to check it out and give you some tips.

Can my baby look forward to your products?

We do not recommend carrying your child facing forward in a Lumma carrier, or any other brand carrier for any period of time. This position causes undue pressure on your child's pelvis and spine and can shake the user's center of gravity. What's more, if your little adventurer is wearing outward facing legs with unsupported legs, it can create an unnatural and uncomfortable back arch. Carrying your baby to the chest is the most ergonomic and comfortable position for both the baby and the user. All our baby carriers are ergonomic.

For more questions about the different Lumma models, you can read their characteristics in the product descriptions.

Are your products machine washable?

They sure are. We suggest cleaning stains regularly and washing them only when necessary to extend the life of your baby carrier. When washing our baby carriers, use cold water, put your machine on the delicate cycle and hang it (without spinning). For baby carriers that have metal hooks and snaps you can put them in the bag of the baby carrier so you also take care of your own washing machine.
